Connect Video Performance Pro to SamCart

Needs a SamCart plan with API access

Connect SamCart

  1. In Video Performance Pro, go to Settings → Sales, open Choose a checkout under your site and pick SamCart. The steps below fill in its boxes.
  2. In SamCart, click your profile icon, then Settings, API Keys.
  3. Generate a read-only key, and copy it into API key.
  4. In Apps, find Webhooks and click Install.
  5. Paste the Webhook address as the Notify URL, and click Connect.
  6. Click Add New Rule for a global rule: Send NotifyURL Post for Orders when an order is completed.
  7. Add global Send NotifyURL Post rules for Product refunded, Product partially refunded, Subscription charged, Subscription charge refunded and Subscription charge partially refunded.
  8. In Settings, open Tracking and Pixels, click Add Parameter, name it , and save. SamCart's guide

Link a video straight to checkout

The link is your SamCart checkout page with the video's code added as , which SamCart hands back with the sale. Sales from these links count. Clicks don't, because the tracking code can't run on SamCart's page.

  1. In Settings → Sales, add your SamCart checkout page under Checkout links.
  2. Make a link to it on the Links page, and put that in your video's description.

Check it worked

Settings → Sales shows Waiting for first sale until SamCart sends its first event, then Tracking sales.
