Connect Video Performance Pro to PayPal

Connect PayPal

  1. In Video Performance Pro, go to Settings → Sales, open Choose a checkout under your site and pick PayPal. The steps below fill in its boxes.
  2. Log in to the PayPal Developer Dashboard with your PayPal business account, and open Apps & Credentials.
  3. Switch the toggle at the top from Sandbox to Live.
  4. Click Create App, name it Video Performance Pro, choose Merchant as the type, and click Create App.
  5. In the app's features, tick Transaction search and save.It lets Video Performance Pro see payments other apps take for you, like Calendly bookings.
  6. Copy the client ID into Client ID and the secret key into Secret.

Link a video straight to checkout

PayPal links can't carry the video's code, and don't need to: a payment is matched to the video by the payer's email. Payments another app takes, like a Calendly booking, can arrive up to a few hours late.

Check it worked

Settings → Sales shows Waiting for first sale until PayPal sends its first event, then Tracking sales.
