Connect Video Performance Pro to Kajabi

Add the tracking code to Kajabi

Your tracking code

Copy it from Settings → Sites → your site in the app. It looks like this, with your site’s key in place of YOUR-SITE-KEY:

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → Site details.
  2. Paste the snippet into Header Page Scripts and save.
  3. Checkout pages don't run those. Go to Settings → Checkout and paste the snippet into Header tracking code, under Checkout Tracking Code. Save.
  4. If an offer uses Enhanced Checkout, keep its Include header tracking code setting on.

Check it worked

On your site's page in the app, press Verify installation. It looks for the code on the pages your links go to, then your homepage. Installed means you're done.

Not found?

The code isn’t in the page’s source. Usually one of these:

  • It was saved but not published.
  • It went into one page’s settings rather than the site-wide header.
  • A caching plugin or CDN is serving an old copy of the page. Clear it.
  • You added it through a tag manager, which the check can’t see. Open the page with your browser’s developer tools on the Network tab and filter for /s/. If your key’s file loads, it’s working.

Couldn’t verify?

The page didn’t load or blocked the check, usually because of a firewall, bot protection, a password or the site being down. If it opens in your browser, verify again later.

Track sales from Kajabi

Needs the Pro plan. An older Pro plan needs Kajabi's Public API add-on

Connect Kajabi

  1. In Video Performance Pro, go to Settings → Sales, open Choose a checkout under your site and pick Kajabi. The steps below fill in its boxes.
  2. Open Kajabi's Public API settings.It needs the Pro plan, and the owner or a subowner to set it up. An older Pro plan needs the Public API add-on.
  3. Click Create User API Key, name it Video Performance Pro, and choose yourself as the user.
  4. Make sure and are ticked, and click Create.
  5. Copy its client ID into Client ID and its client secret into Client secret.
  6. In Settings, open Checkout and paste your site's code into Header tracking code under Checkout Tracking Code.

Link a video straight to checkout

Kajabi checkout links can't carry the video's code, and don't need to: link the video to your sales page as usual, and with the tracking code on your checkout pages the sale is matched to it.

Check it worked

Settings → Sales shows Waiting for first sale until Kajabi sends its first event, then Tracking sales.
